For many years the farmhouse for the principal farm on the island, the House of Machrie is to be found approximately half-a-mile inland from the western shore.
Protected by Ancient Scots pines, the house is set well back from the road and has wonderful views across farmland to the 9-hole Machrie Bay Golf Course and the sea beyond.
Outside in the yard there is a games room with table tennis, dart board and seating.
The property is equipped to a very high standard and has central heating throughout. Sky TV, video, gas and electric cookers, fridge-freezer, microwave oven, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier are all included. Electricity is included and a telephone and wifi internet connection is available.
We can provide housekeeping for the house and a Cordon Bleu chef at additional cost to the client. Fully catered weeks at the House can be arranged if required.
The House of Machrie is available for Christmas and New Year bookings.
There is disables access.
